It’s been a while since my last post. The past month or so has seemed like a very slow part of construction. The guys have been finishing all of the concrete walls. By hand. It’s a slow process, but the finished result looks great.

Concrete walls

On the left, you can see the raw concrete blocks, and then it’s covered with a rough coat. Then on the right, that’s covered by a smooth finish coat.

Showers

I find it odd about some of their processes. For example, in the showers, they concrete over all of the pipes. Then later, they bust open the walls to reveal the in-wall pipes. Notice as well that they did the same with the electric for the backlit vanity mirror. It’s their process, and it seems to work. 🤷‍♂️

Stairs

They’re custom fabricating the metal stairs. The treads will be wood.

Drywall ceilings

They’ve started the drywall ceilings

many of the room will have a dropped tray ceiling with LED lights along the perimeter

Ladders

I think it’s hilarious how all of the ladders are homemade!

Wiring

They’ve run strings through all of the wiring conduits, ready to pull speaker wire and Cat6 internet cables. This is inside the server room. (sorry for the blurry pic)
