🦁 Lake Manyara
The next morning, we were met by a private driver (Fazo) , where we went on a game drive to Lake Manyara in Tanzania. First experience with wild animals. Amazing. The trucks here are enclosed, with a pop-up roof. So you can roll down the windows, as well as stand up to view wildlife from the top of the truck.
🏨 Plantation Lodge
Drive to Plantation Lodge in the afternoon, which is near the Ngorongoro crater. Beautiful property. The lodge is set up as little duplex houses, which are super nice. They assigned us a lovely woman (just for us) who coordinated all of our meals, and everything else we needed.
🦁 Ngorongoro Crater
The next morning our same private guide picked us up, and we drove to the Ngorongoro crater for a full-day game drive. Absolutely incredible – animals everywhere!

🛩️ Fly to the Serengeti
The next morning our same private guide picked us up, and drove us to an airstrip, where we flew to an airstrip in the Northern Serengeti. It was a small Cessna plane (only 12 passengers), and both takeoff and landing were on dirt airstrips.
